Facebook Wins New Search Patent
For any one who is highly involved in Facebook social search, such as myself I have been “testing the waters” with it for the
last two years I find this latest patent win by Facebook quite interesting!
From the recent changes in the Facebook layout to put a more emphasis on Search to the changes we have been seeing with
Facebook search as a whole.
Basically the way Facebook search works is it puts a emphasis on People first, then Facebook owned properties like pages
and other properties then finally external sites with likes are next. Pages and properties liked by your initial friend group also gain priority, either way this is very interesting stuff.
