Domains

I have been into domain names for many years it all started back in 2004 when I decided to jump onto Godaddy and purchase my first domain. Over the next year I purchased around 20 or so domain names and slowly started picking up tactics for domain names and SEO via sites like Digital Point forums. Been into making websites and the internet from pretty much 99/2000 I never really purchased domains or hosting to put the sites on, looking back I wish I got into SEO and domains in 2000, if I did I would probably be sipping on a cocktail some where rich of domains and affiliate money.
In around 2005 I decided to start looking to acquire domains via forums and eBay I really found out all the differences with LLL.com and LLLL.com and keyword rich domains and the benefits they had for SEO so I geared my domains towards keyword rich terms. Over the news few years I purchased many keyword rich domains and had close to 100 domains with Godaddy. When I realised pretty much all the good stock was gone and I has spent all my money buying .com/.net/.info/.biz/.random style domains I decided to search around for information on .com.au and purchase a few of those and that has been my place ever since. I now only really look at .com.au domains and have purchased like 35 in the last 2 years.
I think .com.au is an interesting space but it is also evident that all the goodies were mostly picked over back in the last 90′s it is quite hard to catch onto a good domain. My advice is to really do your home work and buy good names, I have been a sucker in the past for buying bad domains I mean I still get caught up in some bad stock but 100% do your home work before buying any new domain name.
